Beetles, round goby, kudzu, hydrilla - Invasive species are one of the greatest threats to New York’s biodiversity, causing habitat degradation, loss of native species, crop damage, and much more. This episode, Sean and Erica are joined by DEC Research Scientists Cathy McGlynn and Jessica Cancelliere from the Bureau of Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health to discuss all things invasive and the importance of public awareness. Cathy and Jessica discuss how DEC plays a critical role in research, monitoring, prevention, and management of invasive species across the state, including using eDNA as a tool to track down the presence of an invasive in the environment. They also provide tips to listeners on how everyone can help prevent the spread of species in our communities.

On May 23, a 24-year-old trimming trees near power lines was electrocuted when the truck he was in got too close to a power line. Thanks to the quick action of Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies, Hunter Police, and Forest Ranger Peterson, that man was brought back to life.

If You Care, Leave It There

People occasionally find young wildlife and mistakenly assume it has been abandoned, which is rare. The best thing to do if you come across young wildlife is to keep them wild.
Clean. Drain. Dry.

Boats, trailers, waders, and other fishing and boating equipment can spread aquatic invasive species from one waterbody to another unless properly cleaned, dried, or disinfected after use. State law requires boaters to take these steps before launching their watercraft (e.g. motor boats, canoes, kayaks, jet skis) into public waterbodies. Although some invasive species such as Eurasian water-mil...

Magnifique le lâcher de cet aigle qui retrouve sa liberté ❤️❤️❤️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I will never forget on a hot July day opening an enclosed telephone boothe in the city and seeing a huge pile.
That is not the San Francisco Treat method the homeless use.
Beautiful bird
❤❤❤❤❤
This is an unforgettable moment that you experience when a white-tailed eagle is released from rescue back into the wild and it takes off into the air, that's so beautiful, thank you for saving this rare bird as far as I know it is under nature conservation?!

What should I do in the winter when the ground is frozen?
One time during a car ride, a friend named Artie had to poop in the woods. He accidentally went into his pants because he was a first-timer. He had been drinking & didn't realize his mistake & got back into the car. We all noticed right away & made him walk back home. Unfortunately, he had to take his pants off & leave them behind, but he unintentionally left his wallet & keys in the pockets. He ended up having to break a window & climb through to get into his house, but he was so tired, he just fell asleep on the kitchen floor. He even got some cuts on him & wasn't able to wipe. Needless to say, his mother Judy was very concerned when she found him in the morning.
Anyone else shouting pull up, pull up!?
MAJESTIC!
Is it okay to use a water bottle with a small hole poked in the cap as a bidet?
If two girls both have to poop, are they allowed to use one cup shaped hole?
Am I allowed to use any kind of wipes or do they have to be the flushable kind?
Can you make a video on how to pee too?
Pro Tip: make sure you can identify poison ivy if you plan on wiping with leaves.
My poop is NOT going to fit into a hole thats 6x6x6 inches.
Stuck in Ground Effect, took a while to get enough speed for wing lift.
Failed to gain altitude and crashed into the trees.
In the day of old when knights were bold and toilets weren't invented , I left my load upon thr road and walked away contented😂
Adorable
Guys it’s a big bird and it’s had probably been awhile since it had a chance to actually fly so was a bit out of practice.
Well done ladies
was his muscles weak?
Step 4 was "Go in the hole," I'm stuck in here now what do I do?
That's joy and beauty in flight.
Onboard computer: "Pull up! Pull up! Pull up! Pull up!"
Did it ever get off the ground?
A beautiful video!! Thank you❤
Looks like it's struggling with a density altitude miscalculation. Do those weights and balances!
Houston, the Eagle has landed, landed again, and some more, wait, wait, nope still landed
Um if he can't fly i don't think he was ready 😢
Awesome
FREEDOM❤❤❤
He wasn't getting any height what's going on
Aaaaaaahhhh this is really so amazing beautifull to see I love it ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
So majestic
Nothing cutier than a Mama Duck and her Ducklings!
Was that the spruce goose?Cause that didn't get much lyfy
Not feeling like wanting to fly but actually running away.
😮😮😮😮 it looks like he's not going to make it in the wild he might make it as somebody's pet🎉
VAI COM DEUS.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.
A re-enactment of the Wright Brothers first flight. ( The Eagle may have gone farther.)
How cute. ❤❤❤
